The Advancing Diversity Graduate Student Support Fund avails resources to graduate students to support their engagement with conference presentations, poster sessions, and other career advancement and scholarly efforts.

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity encourages faculty, and staff to create new opportunities to explore, advance, and understand topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Inclusive Excellence Programming Grant is specifically designed to provide support for new, innovative, and impactful approaches that advance diversity, inclusive excellence, and related concepts.

The 2024 MLK Scholarship Breakfast is a collaboration between the National Forum for Black Public Administrators-East Central Alabama Chapter, Auburn University Outreach, and the Office of Inclusion and Diversity.

This year's program will focus on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous quote “The time is always right to do what is right.” Proceeds from this event will continue to support local high school students.

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity (OID) is proud to sponsor the Inclusive Excellence Awards. These awards honor faculty, staff and students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion and have demonstrated exemplary achievements and significant contributions to institutional transformation.

The Matthews Scholar Program is a collaboration between the Honors College, the Office of Inclusion and Diversity and the Office of Undergraduate Research. This program is named in honor of the legacy of Dr. Josetta Brittain Matthews, Auburn’s first African American graduate who earned a master’s degree in education in 1966 and who became the university’s first African American faculty member in 1972.

Auburn University is committed to sustaining and supporting diversity in all its forms toward advancing the institutional academic and land grant mission. In that regard, the Office of Inclusion and Diversity in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPRED) is administering the Office of Inclusion and Diversity Exploratory Grants Program.

Women’s Leadership Conference

The annual Women’s Leadership Conference is hosted each spring as an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to engage in educational and relational dialogue and learning. Attendees learn personal inspiration and practical application skills to use on their leadership journey. A student panel comprised of nominated student leaders offer attendees the opportunity to learn how to get involved at Auburn to positively create change.

Women of Color Networking Social

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity Women of Color Networking Social is an annual event for Auburn faculty, staff and students to connect, educate and inspire future leaders. Held in the Auburn University Ballroom, this event offers attendees the opportunity to connect and engage with fellow Women of Color on Auburn’s campus.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity joins with campus partners to bring awareness to the impact of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and to highlight resources available on campus for survivors and those who support survivors.

Caregiver

A Bright Idea’s Seed Grant collaborative project between OID and Academic Success to create inclusive supports for students at Auburn University who are caregivers.
