The Office of Inclusion and Diversity encourages faculty, staff, and departments to create new opportunities to explore, advance, and understand topics that connect to the educational benefits of diversity and inclusive excellence.  The Inclusive Excellence Programming Grant is specifically designed to provide support for new, innovative, and impactful approaches that advance the work of inclusion and related concepts. Examples of programs that may be supported include lectures, symposia, workshops, conferences, performances, visit/preview days, and other programmatic efforts.

The 23/24 program has 1 cycle:

  • Cycle 1 applications will be received January 8, 2024 – February 19, 2024

Funding

The Inclusive Excellence Programming Fund Review Committee will consider all requests and make decisions based on available funds.

The Inclusive Excellence Programming Fund may be used for initiatives such as the following:

  • Guest speakers on a topic relating to inclusive excellence.
  • To create new programs to explore, advance, and understand topics related to diversity and inclusive excellence.
  • Outreach efforts to underrepresented populations in a field or discipline.
  • Programs that expand current efforts to be more intentional toward diversity and inclusive excellence goals.
  • Events that expand the inclusion of issues related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, and national origin.

Eligibility

Current Auburn University faculty, staff, and departments are eligible to receive funding. Student organizations must submit proposals through student involvement.
