LGBTQIA+ Student Groups at Auburn
SAGA is the Sexuality and Gender Alliance at Auburn and is open to all LGBTQIA+ community members and Allies. Dr. Jeffrey Fergus is the advisor for SAGA.
Queer People of Color at Auburn is open to all LGBTQIA+ individuals with inter-sectioning identities. Kendrick Wallace, Dr. Reggie Blockett and Dr. Ernest Gibson are the advisors for QPOC.
Diversity in Honors is open to all students in the Honors College who are members of underrepresented populations or Allies.
Yearly Events
The LGBTQIA+ Welcome to Campus event is a yearly event held by the Office of Inclusion and Diversity each August to welcome incoming and returning students who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community or Allies to the Auburn University campus.
National Coming Out Day is a yearly event held by the Office of Inclusion and Diversity each Oct. 11 to celebrate the LGBTIA+ community and the Allies on the Auburn University Campus.
The Pride Center Spring Open House is a yearly event that is held the first week of the spring semester to welcome everyone back to campus.
Pride Week is an annual tradition held the last week of April. This week has an event planned each day to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the Allies and to elevate the visibility of the community on campus.
Lavender Celebration is an annual ceremony honoring self-identifying LGBTQIA+ students graduating from Auburn University. Undergraduate, graduate and professional students graduating in May, August or December are welcome to attend.
Held once a month, this event has a theme that brings LGBTQIA+ community members and Allies together for fellowship and community building.
